Rob and Brenda I met as a delightful package in Cambridge when I first started going out with Chris who was Rob’s best friend. Chris and I later went on to marry and Rob was our best man. Brenda came too with a young baby Ian to share in our happy day! My friendship continued with them both following Chris’s death and my re-marriage to Ian who they accepted with open arms and with their customary warm and hospitable welcome. My memories of Brenda are naturally similar to all the other tributes I have read about her on this page. Her kindness and interest in others, together with her deep faith, her love of birds, nature and walking, a wickedly quiet sense of humour and what a baker! Although we hadn’t seen her since she and Rob moved “down south”, it was obvious how much she adored her grandchildren and how fortunate they were to have had that closeness over these last few years. It must have been a real comfort to her. Be at peace now Brenda - we will all miss you. Sue & Ian xx
